Shipping

Yes! We offer free curbside freight shipping, with lift gate and delivery appointment to most locations for all new refrigeration units. Shipments to Washington and Oregon are currently subject to a surcharge and must be processed by phone.

Parts, such as extra shelves and clips, are typically shipped via FedEx or UPS and will include a shipping charge. For more information, read our shipping page.

We will deliver any of our products to residences. The freight company should make a delivery appointment using the phone number provided in your order. The driver won’t bring it inside for you though, so call your friends! We also encourage our customers to carefully measure doorways and counter heights and compare with the dimensions of the product to be sure it will fit in the intended space.

Each of our new refrigeration products, from back bar coolers to display freezers, are covered under warranty. Please note some product brand warranties are not supported for residential use.  More warranty information can be found on the Warranty page.

Food Truck or Trailer Use Warranty: Customers installing equipment in a food truck or trailer shall receive 30 days of replacement warranty coverage, regardless of the standard coverage period.

Please check the product pages for the warranty terms of a specific item.

Guidance

Measure your available space exactly (height, width, and depth). For capacity, estimate the total volume of food you process and store over a peak day. It's almost always safer to buy a unit slightly larger than you think you need to account for future growth and prevent overcrowding, which can block airflow and cause breakdowns.

The 'best' is the one that fits your workflow. Reach-ins are for general bulk storage. Prep tables (sandwich or pizza) are for line cooks needing quick access. Undercounter units are for space-saving storage directly beneath a work surface. Display coolers are best for retail and customer facing items.

A quality commercial refrigerator should last 10 to 15 years with proper maintenance.  A strong warranty is a sign of manufacturer confidence in the unit's durability.

The most critical maintenance is cleaning the condenser coils. They should be cleaned at least every 30 to 90 days (more often in greasy/dusty environments). Dirty coils are the #1 cause of unit failure, high energy bills, and temperature fluctuations.

Do not install the unit flush against the wall or other equipment. Most units require a minimum of 3 inches of clearance around the back, sides and/or top for proper heat dissipation. Failure to follow clearance guidelines will cause the unit to work harder, raise energy costs, and potentially void the warranty.

Peakcold and Procool brands are known for long-term reliability and service availability. 'Must-have' features include a digital temperature control/display (for accurate monitoring and health code compliance) and self-closing doors (to prevent accidental loss of cold air).
